Study on the Dynamics of the Vibration Press with Rigid-Elastic Limiters

The article outlines the results of theoretical studies on metal powders pressing operating mod on the engineered vibration press with rigid-elastic limiters. The studies inferred the equations reflecting the laws of work members motion and also expressions used for determination of vibration amplitudes and phase-shift angles.

Calculation Methods of Plane Extrusion at Non-Axial Arrangement of Punch and Die. Part 1. Design formulas

Proposed the design formulas along with the detailed methods of their application required for determination of plane extrusion technological parameters for strain-hardening and non-strain-hardening materials. Methods of form changing control for the acquisition of required walls height ratio of the extrusion workpiece have been proposed and tested. Conducted the experimental studies and calculations comparison, which proved high accuracy and reliability of the inferred formulas.

Optimum Modes of Radial Forging on the Arbor of Light-wall Pipes made of Copper-based Alloys

The limiting parameters of deformation and optimum forging modes have been defined in the course of testing the modes of radial forging of light-wall pipes made of copper-based alloys on the four-head radial forging machine. The defined parameters and modes enable the production of defect-free forged product of various dimension-types.

Modern Method of Combined Finishing-Strengthening Treatment

Proposed a modern method of treatment combining smoothing and rolling procedures. Simulation of Superplastic Forming of Multilayer Honeycomb Constructions Using ABAQUS Software Package

The stress-strain state at superplastic forming of a three-layer honeycomb panel has been studied with the use of ABAQUS software package. The study revealed the features of the forming process and enabled the construction of the diagram showing the forming pressure dependence on time at which plastic flow of the material at the deformation site progresses at the user-defined strain rate.

The article demonstrates the necessity of further development of scientific basis of standardization for designing reasonable requirements for hardware production with the use of studies data in the field of qualimetry and quality management. Main stages of standards design have been examined by the example of developing a technology of manufacturing high-duty hardware from carbon steel workpieces with ultra-fine-grained structure according to the approach proposed in the article.
