Analysis of Contact Interaction of Smooth and Rough Bodies by the Boundary Elements Method: Models and Resolving Ratios.
1. Problem statement. 2. Kinematic Model of Smooth Bodies Contact

In this paper, the problem of contact interaction of smooth and rough bodies is posed and solved. The problem is reduced to a boundary integral equation. Discretization of the sought contact pressure is done by the boundary elements method. The effect of roughness is modeled by Winkler elastic foundation.
Keywords: contact interaction; contact pressure; integral equation; boundary elements method.

Calculation Methods of Plain Extrusion at Non-axial Arrangement of Punch and Die.
Part 3. Calculations for Plain Extrusion of Hardening Material

Proposed the design formulas along with the detailed methods of their application required for determination of plane extrusion technological parameters for strain-hardening and non-strain-hardening materials. Methods of form changing control for the acquisition of required walls height ratio of the extrusion workpiece have been proposed and tested. Conducted the experimental studies and calculations comparison, which proved high accuracy and reliability of the inferred formulas.
Keywords: die forging; extrusion; non-axial arrangement of punch and die; plane strain state.

Improving Tool Durability for Cold Bulk Stamping

The technology of finishing plasma hardening for durability improvement of the cold bulk stamping tools by utilization of thin-film amorphous coatings has been developed. The effectiveness of the technology has been proven by the results of experimental studies on the assessment of the hardened samples durability and also by the full-scale tests of a cold-upsetting tool with the amorphous coating.
Keywords: cold bulk stamping; durability; cold-upsetting tool; plasma hardening; amorphous coating.

Simulation of Radial-Sheer Rolling and Estimation of the Microstructure of Titanium Alloy Rolled Bars

A finite element simulation has been conducted for the radial-shear rolling of VT6 titanium alloy bars in the (?+?) field (at the temperature of 940 °С). The distribution characteristics of stress-strain state parameters in a bar at rolling have been defined. Data obtained during the simulation and after-rolling microstructure analysis have been collated.
Keywords: radial-shear rolling; simulation; stress-strain state; titanium alloy; microstructure; globularization.

Mathematical Simulation of Superplastic Forming Process of Cellular Constructions

The article presents an analytical model of superplastic forming of a 4-layer construction with cellular filler. The model is built within the framework of membrane theory of shells and it’s designed for the determination of the pressure time cycle, duration of free cell forming and thickness of the filler.
Keywords: superplastic forming; analytical model; cellular construction; pressure time cycle.
