The article outlines the advantages of producing bushes using the combined process of reduction–mandrelling. The analysis of the known studies of this process is shown. Analytical method for a new refined theoretical study conduction of the combined process of reduction–mandrelling is selected.

The state of stress and deformation during upsetting of the workpiece on the plate with a conical hole

The peculiarities of deflection of the workpiece on the plate with a conical hole are given. Values of setting ratio defining the beginning and end of rupture zone of stagnation of the sediment without changing the height of the workpiece and the beginning of the extruding metal through a conical hole are defined.

Effect of processing modes on the distribution of the wall thickness during cells’ forming

In this paper presents theoretical and experimental studies of the process of forming the cellular components. The influence on the geometric parameters of cells of different punching mode is determined by the required number of time steps, it shows the effect of hardening.

The problem of sticking of the deformable workpiece on the tool during forming processes

The article considers the problem of metal sticking of the deformable workpiece on the tool in the processing of metals by pressure. Known solutions of this problem are shown. A new method of reducing pickup is proposed.

Features of the production of bronze bars in a wide assortment at JSC «Kamensk-Uralsky non-ferrous processing plant»

With the results of research conducted in melting and casting production cycle, and also during hot (extrusion), cold (drawing) and thermal processing highly technological schemes of production of commercial batches of bars from constructional and electrical bronzes are implemented. Semi-finished products satisfy the stringent requirements of Russian and foreign standards on physical and mechanical properties, macro geometry and surface condition.

Research of the elastic clamps’ design on the basis of a criteria evaluation of the cross-sectional shapes

The article investigated design of elastic clamps on the basis of evaluation of cross-sectional shapes criteria approach. Examined the elastic deformation of the clamps having a circular, oval, square and rectangular cross-section. Simulation was performed using the finite element method. For each variant of the clamps defined deformation load, stress state and the critical section.

Some examples of using the QForm software package in the National University of Science and Technology MISiS and its Vyksa branch

The examples of using of QForm different software packages for solving of various metal forming problems are presented. The sequence of railway wheels’ forging operations has been simulated and tool design matched to improve forging accuracy. Mean stress variation diagrams (as a component of the hydrostatic stress tensor) have been plotted into the rim of wheel and wheel flange, where tensile stresses are prevailing. The 3D-simulation of slab (90x800 mm) processing on the casting and rolling complex has carried out. The reasons for the strip equilibrium loss at the first steps of hot plate rolling are defined. The example of using the QForm software for adjusting of the electroforging machine operating mode at the production of torsion and transmission shafts has described. The 3D-simulation results of stress-strain state during cold extrusion of steel billets at asymmetric loading in the die are presented.

Statistical analysis of the consumable electrode composition influence on composition of the heat-resistant nickel superalloy VAR ingot

A statistical analysis of the production data of the chemical composition of the heat-resistant nickel alloy ВЖ159 in the processing chain vacuum induction melting - the vacuum arc remelting is fulfilled. Regressions equations are obtained that predict the composition of the VAR ingots of metal, depending on the content of components in the consumable electrode. The features of the oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, sulfur and phosphorus concentration changing in the refining process are determined. The results are used as an evaluation model for development of technological processes of production of high-temperature nickel-based alloys ingots in the conditions of JSC «Ruspolymet».
