Kinematic state of workpiece in the combined process of reduction–mandrelling

The geometrical parameters of the deformation zone in the general case of an arbitrary ratio of the taper angles of the mandrel and the matrix and changes in the thickness of the workpiece from different tools are found. Kinematic state of workpiece in the deformation zone is determined. The obtained mathematical expressions are needed for in-depth studies of stress and strain states of the combined process of reduction–mandreling.

Development and simulation of technology of cold forging of screws with cylindrical head and recess under the hex-nut wrench

The study of the wall thickness changing of thin-walled elliptical bottoms during stamping

Calculation of Executive thickness of elliptical bottoms demonstrates the necessary technological increase for providing compensation for thinning the wall of the bottom for stamping. The main factors influencing the change of thickness of elliptical bottoms in stamping are shown. The results of research of changes of wall thickness of thin-walled elliptical bottoms, made by hot stamping at JSC «Uralkhimmash» are presented.

Shear deformation by torsion, upsetting and press forming method

Integrated process of metal deformation by Torsion, Upsetting and Press Forming serves to produce submicrocrystalline structure of large weight metal stocks. The performed work demonstrated efficiency of shear deformation with twist torsion. The most efficient is the use of indirect twist torsion allowing preparation of the stock metal structure for subsequent conventional conversion with the minimum time and economic costs. As compared to the known methods of nonmonotonic deformation, such as high pressure torsion, equal channel angular extrusion and twist extrusion, twist torsion allows solid stock processing. The new trend in the deformation domain will be particularly vital for extra strong metal production for aircraft engineering, space technologies, automotive industry, shipbuilding, bridge engineering and other industries. The developed process allowed comparing of the conventional upsetting and extrusion with shear deformation and determining its efficiency.

Development of the feeder–removal equipment of large components in the area of stamping for solving problems of import substitution in the blank production

Initiation of noncontact deformation zones in porous bar rolling-extrusion process

With the software package QForm the combined process of rolling-extrusion of the porous aluminium alloy billet was simulated. In this scheme, the workpiece deformation occurs in the caliber, formed by roll with a comb, roll with a groove and a extrusion die. The regularity of distribution of mean stresses and the regularity of parameter of the relative density at the deformation zone werer defined. The existence of non-contact metal waste area on the surface of the instrument from the roll with a comb was found out. This zone is absent from the roll provided with a groove. The presence of non-contact areas within the deformation zone can give rise of local failure workpiece that should be considered when using the process for the treatment of low-plasticity metals.

Features of high physical-mechanical characteristic achievement of wire from tin-zinc bronze

The proper combination of strength and plastic properties of the wire in wide range of diameters from the tin-zinc bronze for responsible products is obtained by application of the microalloying of the alloy of titanium and iron and the use of deformation-heat treatment of intermediate pieces and the finished wire. It is organized production of commercial batches of high quality products, based on the experimental production of research results.
