Investigation of the extrusion of a cylindrical billet through a matrix with a square hole.

Part 3. Determination of accumulated deformations, registration of hardening and experimental verification of the obtained results

According to Vorontsov's method, all necessary formulas for determining the accumulated deformations in various zones of the billet are obtained and a technique for calculating the hardening of the deformable material for the successful design of processes for extruding a cylindrical billet through a square-hole matrix is presented. The high accuracy of the calculation formulas is confirmed by comparing the results of the calculations with the experimental data.

Analysis of the stressed state of bimetallic billet during the shear forming process of conical parts with wall thinning

The mathematical model of rotational extrusion with thinning of the wall of conical parts from bimetallic material is given. This model allows using thе model for establishing energy-force parameters of the rotational spinning process, and also for analyzing the influence of technological processing regimes on the power parameters of the process.

Forging of gas turbine discs from nickel-based supperalloys in isothermal conditions with the use of specialized hydraulic presses

Made comparison of forging on specialized hydraulic presses in isothermal conditions with conventional forging on cold or warmed up 400…600 °C stamps.

Development and research of technology of manufacturing thin-walled steeply curved items

The advantages and disadvantages of the existing methods of manufacturing thin-walled steeply curved products are considered. The article describes the stages of a new way of producing such kind of parts. The results of the first two stages of the proposed technology are presented.

Construction elements and strength of a housingless frame in a hydraulic sheet-mill shears

Here is a scheme of a housingless frame of the hydraulic sheet shears, where fixed stepped plungers of two power cylinders are connected to a lower fixed traverse and serve as stands, and the bodies of these cylinders are connected to a movable upper traverse. The horizontal fixed and chevron movable knives are fixed on respective traverses. The method of strength calculation for basic elements of a frame (a stand-plunger, cylinder, traverse) is provided here. This calculation is based on the solution of a statically indeterminate problem with the formulation and solution of the deformation equations. At the same time, the problem of optimizing the parameters of power cylinders is being solved.

Computer simulation of the broaching process of a section on a dual SPD press in order to define a rational die engraving

The results of computer simulation of the broaching of continuous casting billets in the Deform 2D software package are presented. Based on the analysis of the results of computer modeling, a rational engraving of the profile die is determined on a dual SPD press, ensuring complete filling of the die grooves in the first stage and uniform distribution of the deformation along the workpiece cross-section in the second stage.
