Investigation of the reliability of the prediction by the finite element method of the main parameters of the plastic deformation process on the example of extrusion of a cylindrical glass.
Part 3. Calculation of different parameters

The results of calculations by the finite elements method for the height of the center of plastic deformation, the temperature effect of deformation, the distribution of normal stresses at the end of the punch, the angle of the elastic deflection of the matrix, the specific forces of extrusion by conical punches and destruction are presented.

Calculation of elastic strain in the processes of plastic deformation of the sheet forming

In this paper presents exact and approximate methods for calculating the elastic strain in the processing of the sheet metal forming after removing the external load. Examples of calculations are given to the operations of forming a parent sheet and pipe expansion. The results of experimental studies are presented.
Keywords: sheet-metal stamping; elastic strain; theory; experiment.

Nonstationary processes of isothermal stamping

Technological schemes and relations are presented for calculation the modes of isothermal extrusion, upset and extrusion with draft. The deformation of blanks is assumed to be viscoplastic, nonstationary. The energy method of calculation based on discontinuous fields of displacement velocities is used. The results of calculations and technological data are presented.
Keywords: creep; nonstationarity; speed; intensity of deformation and stresses; pressure; damageability.

Innovations in structures, methods and molds for the production of graphite inserts of trolleybus current collectors

The article describes the history of the appearance in Russia of graphite-plastic inserts of current collectors of trolleybuses in the early 60s. last century. Materials on new original inserts designs, on new ways of their obtaining and new designs of molds developed by the authors of the article at the level of inventions are presented.

Algorithmizing of the process of bar separation on long-length blanks based on the fatigue failure of metal

A mathematical model of the process of bar separation into long-length blanks based on the fatigue failure of metal is developed, which allows to increase the fatigue separation area of a rod having a smooth end surface and, accordingly, to minimize the separation area of the long blank from the bar, which significantly improves the quality of the blanks.
Keywords: model; bar separation; fatigue failure of metal; quality of long-length blanks.
