Calculation of Meridian Stress Emerging at the First Step of the Wheel Rims Radial Rotary Profiling Process

The results of calculations and comparisons for a graph of the value of the meridional stress along the section of a cylindrical blank in the meridional and tangential direction at the first step of profiling without taking into account radius curvature of the instrument.

Efficient Technology of Manufacturing Gas Turbine Engine Disks Using Heat-Resistant Nickel Alloys

Gas Isothermal Forming of Hemispheres for Titanium Spherical Balloons in Vacuum Environment

The article is devoted to an advanced path of manufacturing hemispheres for titanium spherical balloons with the use of gas isothermal stamping method in vacuum environment. A new type of die and an original method of the extraction of a formed hemisphere from a die have been proposed along with the centering device for the upper and lower halves of a die.

Studying Methodology for the Parameters of the hydraulic press-forging machines

The most frequently measured parameters in experimental studies of hydraulic press-forging machines along with the means of their measurement have been considered in this work. The article includes a detailed study method for the operation of a hydraulic press with the indication of locations for installing relevant sensors and also the interpretation and analysis of the experiment results.

Features of the Blanks Hydromechanical Extrusion Process

DEFORM 2D software suit has been used to conduct simulation modeling of direct and hydromechanical extrusion processes of hardly-deformed materials. Differences in stress-strain state and energy-power parameters of these processes have been identified. The optimal thickness of a lubricant layer at hydromechanical extrusion have been defined.
