On the feasibility of the theoretical elastic deformation of the stamping tool. Part 1. Squeezing glasses

By the example of reverse extrusion of glasses it is shown the necessity of the consideration of elastic deformation of the tool for description of the characteristic peculiarities of the process of processing by pressure. This theoretical study allows to determine the amount of required compensating the inverse cone of the matrix for specific technological parameters with high practical accuracy.
Keywords: elastic deformation of the tool; squeezing of glasses; processing by pressure; inverse cone.

Technological opportunities of increasing of flexural rigidity of parts such as shafts and axles

The possibility of increasing the stiffness of long parts such as shafts and axles is considered on the basis of finite element modeling. The influence of the distribution of the residual stresses and their depth on the flexural stiffness of the shafts is introduced. According to the results of modeling of internal friction in the volume of metal is shown its influence on the stiffness of the shafts under bending.
Keywords: poorly rigid shaft; residual stress; flexural stiffness; internal friction.

Improvement of rotary drawing technology of thin-walled parts based on simulated destruction

The article presents methodology for improvement through the application of macroscopic kinematic model scattered fracture of an isotropic sheet metals in cold forming processes of metal spinning, performed according to technological schemes, developed in accordance with OST 92-1634. The results are experimentally verified. The presented method is an effective theoretical tool to predict the possibility of destruction of the workpiece even in the design stage of technological process. In addition, the coefficients of the kinematic model scattered fracture of an isotropic metal for aluminum alloy AMg6 in cold sheet stamping.
Keywords: metal spinning; destruction; degree of use of the resource of plasticity; computer simulation; Deform.

Stamp for plastic deformation of slabs

The article considers constructive stamp scheme for plastic deformation of slabs of sheet material to large degrees. The necessity of consideration of the stamp passes through the development of innovative technologies for the improvement of operational properties of the flat-shaped tool as a result of mechanical pre-heat treatment. At the heart of the design is the use of the stamp supporting members preventing distortion of the workpiece. The methodology of calculation of the basic geometrical parameters of the stamp is shown. Based on the criterion of duration of the incremental loads ratio for calculation of lateral support of the load is found, which prevent distortion of the flat workpiece under compression. This knowledge is required for calculating the optimum dimensions of the die tooling for the realization of the considered process of plastic deformation in a production environment.
Keywords: stamp; plastic deformation; slab; the deformation; supporting elements.

Concept of agent-based network of shaft’s press-forging in computer-aided process planning (CAPP) systems

A concept of agent-based network in a computer-aided process planning (CAPP) system for press forging is considered on the example of automated shaft forging design. The structure, objectives and authorities of principal agents are described, the concept of coherent agent behavior under weak formalization of forging design problems is developed using the apparatus of mathematical logic. The proposed approach can be used to develop algorithms and programs for press-forging CAPP of various forged pieces.
Keywords: computer-aided process planning (CAPP) systems; shaft press- forging; agent-based network.
