The deformation-force parameters and conditions for defect-free implementation of the combined process of reduction–mandrelling

The equations, necessary to account hardening and successful design of combined technological process of reduction–mandrelling are derived. Its high precision and reliability are confirmed by comparison of experimental data. Incorrectness of a set of known propositions about the laws of the combined process of reduction–mandrelling is shown. The results of analysis allow making a number of new insights that are useful for the successful design of a combined technological process of reduction–mandrelling.

Definition of the friction coefficient in sheet metal forming

Оn the basis of equation for the maximum radial stress during drawing, suggested by A.G. Ovchinnikov, is shown the improvement of the method of determination of the friction coefficient – difference forces method, firstly suggested by A. A. Shofman. By computer simulation of the drawing process the error of the proposed method is estimated. This study is shown that an improved method unlike the original allows to determine the friction coefficient with engineering precision.

Analysis of maximum hot sinking possibilities of long-length tubular cylindrical details in stamp with the movable semimatrices

In the process of hot fallouts of cylindrical details at relatively large attitude of length toward the diameter of purveyance there is a threat of loss to longitudinal stability, that can result in formation of clamps on the surface of pressed purveyance. In the article maximum possibilities are considered fallouts of the long-length thick-walled hobs in a stamp with sectional and movable in meeting direction semimatrices.

Vacuum rolling mills with two- and multi-roll calibers

The possibility of protection of refractory metals from oxidation and gas saturating during heating, plastic deformation and cooling in the rolling processes and eliminate losses of volatile oxides and the turning of gas-saturated layers is shown. The article describes known constructions of the vacuum two-roll mills, developed in our country and abroad. The submissions for the design of new industrial rolling mill MKV-280 developed by scientists of the South Ural State University and The National University of Science and Technology «MISiS» and patented in foreign countries are introduced.

Modeling of temperature conditions of the steel calibration process for forecasting the lifetime of monolithic dragging

The efficiency of the development of the metalworking industries largely depends on the rate of capacity expansion for the production of quality calibrated steel. Modern manufacturers require products that meet the quality requirements of h9-h10 quality class. The study expounds the influence of the temperature conditions for steel calibration in monolithic die, the evaluation of the influence of the drawing temperature on the tool life during preparation of a calibrated steel of a necessary quality.

Multiroll straightening machine reconstruction for a quality improvement of sheet metal

The modern design of multiroll straightening machine with the device for folding the front end of the sheet is shown in the article. The sheet mangling on such a machine allows to increase the quality of the straighten sheets. The method of calculating the parameters of the frame device for folding the front end of a sheet is received. On the basis of laboratory research with polarizatio-optical method tensions in the upper cross member and the base frame of the device are defined.

Quality improvement of electrical strips with trapezium cross-section

It is developed, justified and tested on industrial parties of the collector strips of large cross section and height until100 mm from nontermoproclaimest bronze technological scheme which containes 3...5 passes drawing of hot-pressed billets without intermediate softening annealing and regulation of various ratios of the hood. Ready profiles with hardness values on the Brinell hardness is significantly above standard requirements, improve the wear resistance of the collector – the most important knot of traction electric motors of main-line locomotives.

Increasing the efficiency of the rotary-screw compressor on the basis of research of external factors affecting the wear of friction units

The influence of external factors such as ambient temperature, air humidity, operating temperature of oil and other factors on the wear of friction units of the wear rate monitored by the sensor on wear particles in oil is studied. This allows to increase the service life of the compressor, which ultimately leads to an increase in the service life of the oil, filter, separator and reduce the maintenance costs of the equipment. The obtained dependences provide an opportunity for extensive research not only in production, but also directly at the manufacturing plant during manufacturing of equipment, mechatronic machine tools, aggregates and other components.
