Extrusion process analyses of vanadium-bearing iron powder

Analyses of cold extrusion process of iron-based vanadium-bearing green compact allow determining the minimum density of the briquette that ensuring the integrity of the billet after extrusion. Identification of the calculated dependences describing the processes briquetting and extrusion of the powder material are made. It is shown that the scheme of deformation affects on a value of the theoretical yield strength of the compact material.

Estimation of the efficiency of manufacturing steel wire by combined method «rolling–drawing»

The article studies possibility of producing high-strength steel wire of large diameter by combined method «rolling–drawing». The proposed process is carried out in a line composed of individual rolling-drawing modules. The high level properties of the wire is provided by repeated alternation of two different schemes deformation. A modeling and experimental information is shown.

Combined extrusion of protective plates for blower composite blade from ultrafine-grained titanium alloy

The technology of metallic edge manufacturing from titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) for blower composite blade of aviation engine which was made by backward extrusion in condition of low temperature superplasticity. Modeling of technology process is carried out. There is presented the results for using protection covering as lubricant.

Technological possibilities of forging by heads with non-orthogonal intersecting fronts

The efficiency of forging by using new technology appears in a much better deformation study of the cast structure of the ingot. The transverse component of the external force is much less than in the forging by the standard technology. This provides more favorable conditions of press work.

About wave stresses in the rods of anvil hammers

Analytical method is reviewed for the determination of the longitudinal stresses in the rods of anvil hammers in the moment of hard hit falling parts. The calculation scheme of hammer’s falling parts and analytical method based on the Laplace transforms of the wave equation are proposed.
