Study on the Fibrous Structure of a Product Acquired with Plain Extrusion at Non-Axial Arrangement of Punch and Die. Part 3. Defining main parameters of the fibrous structure

This work proves the importance of researching the fibrous structure at products extrusion. The article outlines certain erroneous statements considering the forming of the current structure cited in popular works. The contributors formulated the sequence of correct analytic study of the fibrous structure.
Keywords: bulk stamping; extrusion; non-axial arrangement of punch and die; plane strain; fibrous structure.

Multilevel Models Applied for the Analysis of the Contact Interaction of Geometrically-Complex Bodies: Algorithms, Implementation and Applicability Analysis (final part)

The article describes an approach to the contact interaction analysis of geometrically-complex bodies, which represents a balanced combination of Hertz model, the boundary integral equations method and finite elements method. The example of the contact of a ball with a toroidal raceway illustrates the limits of applicability of various models.

The microstructural estimation of the distribution of the plastic deformation in metal cold-planted fasteners

The distributions of the plastic deformation of the metal cold-planted fasteners obtained microstructural studies. It is shown that the microarray method G.A.Smirnov-Alyaev, together with the use of the calculation of the final degree of deformation of multistage forming a non-monotonic deformation, the most objectively assesses the distribution.
Keywords: microstructural method; the final degree of deformation; cold landing; fastener.

Research of influence of the deforming tool sizes in the process of manufacturing forgings "Tongue"

On the basis of the finite element method with the use of the software complex three-dimensional mathematical simulation investigated the influence of the deforming tool sizes. The width of the deforming tool was changed within 0,64…1 from the maximum possible. It is established that the application of the maximum possible width allows to get the required height of the «tongue» with the less degree of compression.
Keywords: forming; the finite element method; degree of compression; coordinate grid.
