Strain state in cylindrical billet during forging with torsion

The deformed state in cylindrical preparation at its stamping with torsion is theoretically investigated. It is presented the design of press for realization of the process of upsetting combined with torsion enabling to change smoothly the ratio between linear and angular strains of the workpiece in a wide range. The main modes of operation of the press are presented. The received ratios is allowed to establish optimum modes of innovative technology of the preliminary thermomechanical processing (PTMP) for the purpose of ensuring high operational properties in products.

Searching of rational forming in multijunction processes of plastic deformation on the basis of complex criteria-based approach

The method of searching rational deformation during the forging of the bolt heads on the basis of a criteria-based is approached. Using the finite element method it is performed computer modeling of technological processes of stamping heads of bolts and nuts. For each process is defined power and energy criterias, and the criterion of uneven deformation, which is recommended the efficient technology. In the artilcle new methods for improving the quality of parts, economy of metal and energy costs and also reduce the cost of designing and developing new products and technologies is identified.

Study of the process of receiving the plastically deformed pipes with welded seams

The main technologies of obtaining and disadvantages of lay-flat tubing are shown in the article. Technology and method of producing tubes with plastically deformed welded seams is described. Due to poor knowledge of the proposed method experimental studies of technology in the laboratory are presented. After receipt of the sample of lay-flat welded pipe is revealed that the hot rolling of the billet with welded seams provides good structured and guarantees the formation of a tube from a flat two-layer workpiece without destroying maintaining a high throughput pipeline.

Resource-saving technology of production of bimetallic strips

Resource-saving technology of production of bimetallic strips with the use of the compact unit with combined process of continuous casting and deformation is shown. The main advantages of this method upon receipt of bimetallic strips in comparison with foreign and domestic counterparts are: improving the quality of bimetal; improving the quality of the surface of the bimetallic strip; high precision thickness of plating layer; expanding the range of bimetallic strips; increase in productivity; significantly lower capital and operating costs. For realization of these advantages it is suggested the technology with a radically new design of composite mold.
In addition, the regularities of development of plastic flow of the metal of plating layer along the length of the deformation zone are researched. The stress-strain state of metal in the deformation zone upon receipt of bimetal steel-aluminum is defined. The results show favourable to the scheme of the stress state of the metal in plating layer that help to obtain bimetallic strips of high quality.

Methods of production of forgings for the disk’s and wheel’s manufacture

In the article is discussed methods for the production of forgings for the production of discs and wheels. Contained materials on the study of the control of production flows of blanks allowing to form not only the shape of the product, but the structure and properties of the final products. The article is served as an overview. The data on the operating characteristics of the disks is shown, particularly for turbines. A large number of the references describing these processes is considered.
It is proposed the effective technology that allows to obtain the specified mechanical characteristics, by controlling the of plastic metal flows and acting on the elements of the macrostructure of the workpiece. Method of using dies with an axial hole is shown.

A comparative analysis of the mechanical crank-type hot-forging presses main drives systems

The article considers the possibility and expediency of frequency converters application in the mechanical crank-type hot-forging presses electric drive using the asynchronous electric motors instead of the stage acceleration due to the resistors start-up boxes at the modernization of the existing presses and at new designing. The article presents the results of the analysis of start and operating modes of the motor press with force 16 MN. The analysis is performed for a motor with a wound rotor and squirrel-cage motor with frequency converter. The main advantages of using frequency converters to control the main drive motor of the press are shown.

Simulation of process of cold forging bolts with flange

The main task in the technological processes of manufacturing high-strength fasteners is to provide products of the required quality with minimum production costs. It is developed new tool structure for the formation of a hexagonal bolt head. To confirm the effectiveness of the use of the new structure research is conducted, aimed at identifying the influence of operating profile of the tool on its resistance and stress-strain state of the workpiece. Software package Deform-3D is used in the article. On the basis of the conducted theoretical and experimental studies a new technology for manufacturing the flange bolts is patented.

Computer study of forging of disc’s leaf of steel 20X13

Metal deformation of forming disk from heat resisting steel X20Cr13 by sliding baizes is considered. The study in the article concerns the distribution of deformation and temperature in the workpiece, the direction of flow of metal in various stages of distillation and the busy state of the metal in various areas of the forging. Research of this parameters is longitudinally relatived to the length of the punch and cross sections. To avoid varying grain patterns stamping should be carried out by dies heated to the highest possible temperature. The trends can be extended to other heat-resistant steel.

Automated system for determination of technological properties of the metal in operations of separation in the sheet metal forming processes,

It is presented automated system for continuous control of technological metal properties of workpiece in sheet metal stamping operations of large parts in real time. The algorithm of using this system is shown. Tests of the developed system for automated determination of technological properties of the metal and of the control algorithm press are confirmed their suitability and effectiveness for a wide range of sheet metal forming processes. It was revealed that the press tool is not under pressure and has a cost-effective resistance. The marriage of destruction of the metal during the shaping decreases.
