The study of combined extrusion of tumblers with the co-bottom part.
Part 9. Calculation of geometric parameters and prerequisites for calculating the deformed state of the workpiece

All geometric formulas necessary for designing the process of extrusion of nozzles with a conical bottom are obtained. Further, the obtained formulas will be used to develop scientifically grounded methods for calculating technological operations of free and constrained extrusion. The substantiation of the use of the well-known methods of A. L. Vorontsov, developed for extrusion of glasses with a punch with a flat end, for calculating the deformed state of the workpiece is given.
Keywords: forging; tumblers with the co-bottom part; combined extrusion.

Analysis of power parameters of the isothermal reverse extraction of tube

The article discusses the process of reverse extrusion of thick-walled tube blanks. The use of a pipe as a billet is sometimes due to the geometry of the products obtained, which is a dimensional cylinder with a hole in the bottom. The use of thick-walled pipes as billets can reduce power modes, reduce metal loss and reduce the number of auxiliary operations. In this paper, we consider the process of extruding a pipe billet in an isothermal mode with short-term creep conditions, which is associated with the use of high-strength alloys as a workpiece. Based on the results of solid-state modeling of the process, summary data on extrusion forces are obtained. Using these data according to the results of statistical analysis, regression equations are obtained and dependencies are constructed that show the influence of technological parameters on the strength of the process under study.
Keywords: force; isothermal deformation; reverse extrusion; analysis.

Research into upsetting of bimetal blanks

This article deals with bimetal blanks for coining. It is studied different connection methods for coining of the bimetal blanks. The experiments were made by bimetal blanks. There are two kind of connections. One of them is “interference” and other connection is named «lock». It is found suitable sizes and tolerances for connection interference the experimental samples and we have got a good result. The connection named «interference» is used for coining of two materials named «plamet». One part of the connection is metal ring and other part is polymer insert.
Keywords: coining; macro sample; upsetting; bimetal; polymer; lock; connection.

Relations of the deformation tensor components when pressing zirconium

The finite element method has been used to solve the boundary value problem of pressing a zirconium billet. The distribution of the radial and tangential components of the strain tensor is shown. The maximum values of the radial and tangential components of the deformation tensor calculated by this method exceed the values calculated from the geometry of the deformation zone by 1,3 ... 1,6 times. The differences in the ratios of the maximum strain rates in the radial and tangential directions reach 3,5, which is 67 % more than the ratio of the corresponding components of the strain tensor. The obtained tensor characteristics can be taken into account when predicting the influence of a deformed state on the ratio of Kearns parameters.
Keywords: pressing; zirconium; close-packed hexagonal lattice; radial strains; tangential strains; Kearns parameters.

Modeling of billet formation at precipitation in lining ring

Finite-element simulation of process of precipitation of cylindrical billet from 1310 alloy on lining ring is performed with the help of program complex Deform-2D. Relative dimensions of forging are dependent on degree of deformation, external friction, geometry of workpiece and tool. These constraints allow the formation of one-way hub disc forging to be controlled within certain limits.

Keywords: lining ring sediment; modeling; 1310 alloy; workpiece and tool geometry; degree of deformation; external friction; hub height; flange diameter.

Investigation of the strength of a car wheel made of light alloy repaired by welding

The aim of this work is to study the strength of a car wheel made of an aluminum alloy repaired by welding in an argon atmosphere. The studies were carried out on special equipment for testing automobile wheels, metallographic studies were used, equipment for testing wheel samples for rupture. The results obtained were a prerequisite for the development of a new original method for comparative studies of wheels, which were repaired by welding.
Keywords: welding of automobile wheels; argon welding; examination of wheels for bending with rotation; rupture examination of wheel samples; wheel material hardness; wheel testing method.
