Applying flexible plate theory to sheet stamping tasks

The method of calculation of power parameters of technological processes of sheet stamping using the theory of flexible plates based on the Ritz-Timoshenko variation method is described. Analytical dependencies are presented, which allow calculating specific pressure during stamping-drawing, corresponding to transition of the workpiece from elastic state to plastic state, which is relevant in development of stamping-drawing technology. As an example of the application of the procedure, calculations of specific pressures during stamping-drawing with elastic, liquid or gas medium have been carried out. Verification of obtained results based on comparison of calculated values with experimental data is shown.

Mathematical model of combined extrusion of a steel bar stock with a tool with a conical working surface

An urgent issue in the implementation of processes of cold bulk deformation is the reduction of force parameters. There are many ways to achieve this. One of them is a change in the geometry of the working parts of the deforming tool. The article discusses the process of cold combined extrusion of steel bar stock. It is proposed to use a deforming punch with a beveled work surface in the form of a truncated cone. To evaluate the force during extrusion and theoretical justification of the effect of reducing forces, a mathematical model based on the work balance method is presented. Using it, regularities of the influence of the geometry of the tool and the workpiece on the force were established.

Analysis of the kinematics of metal movements and determination of energy-power characteristics of the process of hot stamping of the step half-shafts

In the process of hot volumetric upsetting of long cylindrical parts with a variable diameter, it is important to know the possible directions of metal movements and energy-power characteristics of the process at various stages of forging. The results of theoretical studies are crucial in the design of die tooling for the manufacture of blanks when restoring the shafts of the rear axle of trucks with pressure.

Experimental study of dynamic characteristics of a device for transmission of rotation in a medium with high hydrostatic pressure

The article is devoted to the problem of the transfer of rotational motion through the wall of the housing into a medium with high (up to 60 MPa) hydrostatic pressure. This problem is relevant for many industries, in particular, in the development of the depths of the World Ocean, in the creation of underwater vehicles and robotic devices for these purposes, as well as in high-pressure autoclaves in the chemical industry with an external input of the stirrer rotation.This article discusses the structural diagram of a device for transmitting rotation to an environment with high hydrostatic pressure, as well as the results of an experimental study of the dynamics of the system shaft - floating sleeve of the slotted seal, which is part of this device in order to determine its amplitude and technical characteristics, assess the dynamic stability of the floating sleeve and confirmation of theoretical conclusions.The technical means that were used in this work and the parameters and conditions in which the experiment was carried out are given. The results of the experimental study confirmed the correctness of the theoretical conclusions and the efficiency of this device.

Thе focus of this rеviеw articlе is thе еvolution of idеas about thе rеlationship of physically mеasurablе quantitiеs and monеtary mеasurеs from thе 17th cеntury to thе prеsеnt. It has bееn shown that rеsеarchеrs arе еngagеd in еstablishing such a connеction within thе framеwork of labor and еnеrgy cost thеoriеs, basеd on a numbеr of gеnеral provisions, primarily on thеsеs about labor as thе basis of cost and thе possibility of mеasuring it in a physical valuе. A dеscription is givеn of thе joint еvolution of thеoriеs with gradual division into indеpеndеnt dirеctions, dеtеrminеd by using thе physical valuеs of timе and еnеrgy for mеasuring thе cost, rеspеctivеly. Thе rеsults of thе dеvеlopmеnt of both thеoriеs arе illustratеd by thе еxamplе of thе industry spеcifics of Mеtalworking еntеrprisеs.
