Multi-transition drawing anisotropic viscoplastic material

Relationships for calculating stresses and power conditions during the first and subsequent drawing of workpieces from an anisotropic material under viscoplastic conditions are obtained. Equilibrium equations in stresses and a linear yield condition are used. The ratios for calculating the damageability of the workpiece material are given. The calculated results are presented.
Keywords: anisotropy; viscoplasticity; speed; stresses; power; damageability of material.

Generalized criterion for the strength of materials based on natural destructive factors

A generalized criterion for the strength of materials is proposed based on natural destructive factors: normal and tangential stresses, as well as the characteristics of their brittle-plastic properties.
Keywords: strength; equivalent, natural, normal, tangential stresses.

Technological features of extrusion of bars from difficult-to-form heat-resistant alloys using high-temperature tools

The aim of the study is to present the technological features of using a high temperature tool for producing cylindrical rods from difficult-to-form heat-resistant alloys. The possibilities of using high-temperature forging materials and lubricants for obtaining bars without surface defects are shown. The results of the use of high-temperature tools for the production of rods from a new heat-resistant nickel-based alloy VZh179 and a casting heat-resistant nickel-based alloy ALLOY 713C are presented.
Keywords: heat-resistant nickel-based alloy; extrusion; high-temperature tool; extrusion of bars.

Deformation mechanism of industrial steels and alloys in a state of superplasticity

Presented in this study fully confirms the opinion Panin V. E., Egorushkin V. E. and Panin A. V. about the fallacy of the concept of communication grainboundary sliding movement of grain boundary dislocations in superplastic deformation and the dubious physical validity coefficient of velocity sensitivity m as a criterion of superplasticity. The author's research shows that the mechanism of superplastic deformation of industrial α-titanium and γ-alloys is dynamic recrystalization («fluctuation-structural transition»), which leads to a steady segmental flow of the material when the sample is stretched. It is shown that the criterion indicator of superplasticity of metals and alloys is the coefficient of polycrystalline superplastic viscosity.
Keywords: superplasticity mechanism; grain boundary slip; velocity sensitivity index; dynamic recrystallization; fluctuation-structural transition, polycrystalline superplastic viscosity.

Finite element modeling of U-bending of round bars in a die

The work investigated the deformed state of round bar blanks during U-bending in dies. The rational relative radii of curvature and radii of the grooves of the die and the punch are determined, which provide the minimum value of the shrinkage of the bar in the place of bending. The obtained quantitative description of the influence of the geometric parameters of the stamp on the size of the shrinkage was used in the design of an experimental stamp for the U-shaped bending of ladders.
Keywords: finite-element modelling; U-bending of round bars; geometric parameters of the stamp; shrinkage; degree of deformation.

Improvement of the methodology for estimating the residual value of a gas-and-oil field for the purpose of transfer of property rights

The article is devoted to improving the methodology for assessing the value of deposits. The paper proposes a combined methodology based on the residual value of fixed assets of the licensed area, its economic efficiency and the total cost of residual recoverable reserves. The total cost is adjusted for a correction factor that depends on a number of factors.
Keywords: oil company; license area; field; cost of a subsoil area; residual value; fixed assets; residual recoverable reserves; sale; economic efficiency.

Features of the use of subject-oriented models of process control and quality improvement algorithms in forging and stamping production

The article examines the relationship between models of production process management and mechanisms for satisfying human needs, the use of process management models at different stages of production development and stages of the life cycle of engineering products; the features of the application of the considered models and algorithms for improving the quality in forging and stamping production are formulated.
Keywords: production management; life cycle processes; product quality; human needs.
