The influence of the thermoelectric element on the accuracy of technological processes

In modern science, industry and energy, increasingly stringent requirements are imposed on the accuracy of measuring the parameters of technological processes in general and temperature in particular. The analysis of measuring instruments of parameters of technological processes of a modern industrial enterprise, carried out by domestic and foreign specialists, shows that 40-50% of the total volume of measurements at the enterprise are the processes of measuring and regulating the temperature of the working environment, as well as the main components of technological units. With a wide variety of measuring instruments in the area of average temperatures, a significant part of all temperature measurements falls on the share of thermoelectric converters, the sensitive elements of which are thermocouples. In this regard, the issue of the accuracy of thermocouple readings is becoming increasingly relevant. It is shown that the uncertainty of temperature measurement is significantly affected by the occurrence of thermoelectric inhomogeneity.

Investigation of the stress concentration of a slit notch using the functions of a complex variable

The work is devoted to the measurement of stresses. This article presents an analytical method for studying the stress concentration in the vicinity of a slit notch. The expression of the distribution of the components of the stress tensor in the vicinity of this cavity is obtained. The approach proposed to determining the laws of stress measurement in the regions of gradients is based on solving the plane problem of elasticity theory by methods of functions of a complex variable.

Theoretical study of the grinding process of railway rails

A theoretical study of the process of micro-cutting with a single grain of a grinding wheel of the shaped surface of the rolling head of rails by rail grinding trains is presented. A new method of grinding the rail head in intermittent circles is considered. A mathematical model of forming the profile of the rail head during grinding with the end of an abrasive intermittent circle is shown, linking the operating parameters of the grinding process and the profile of the rail head with the design of an intermittent abrasive wheel.

Part handling device for spot welding

In this article the features of welding of cladding by contact spot welding are considered, the main problems arising at welding of cladding by contact spot welding are listed. The design of the device for moving parts for spot welding, which works from pneumatic cylinders, is developed. The operations of lifting and lowering of the welding machine electrode are synchronized with the working cycle of the device.

Modeling and multi-criteria optimization of the hydromechanical extrusion process

The process of hydromechanical extrusion (HME) of rods made of aluminum alloy brand AMg5 is simulated to obtain data from a numerical experiment. Optimization of numerical experiment data using the ideal point method is carried out in the expert system. By optimizing the extrusion force, damage indicators, and deformation heterogeneity, optimal technological and structural parameters of the HMG process are obtained.

Development of a mathematical model for calculating the cooling of hot-rolled plates before the final pass

The paper examines the features of the cooling process of hot-rolled plates used for aircraft and mechanical engineering. Solving this problem make it possible to increase the accuracy of setting the temperature in the last pass in the control system of a rolling mill and reduce deviations of the slab in thickness. To solve the problem, a finite element modeling of the cooling process of the workpiece as a result of its interaction with the environment and the cutting fluid (coolant) is carried out. Analysis of the results made it possible to establish formulas that describe the cooling process of the workpiece analytically. The discrepancy when comparing the workpiece temperature measured with a hand-held thermocouple and calculated using formulas was no more than 2,2 %. It has been shown that the cooling rate of the slab depends not only on the cooling method, but also on the initial temperature of the slab and its thickness. The obtained analytical dependencies are introduced into a complex mathematical model that determines the rolling parameters. Experimental verification of the model proposed in the work, which takes into account the cooling of the slab in the previous pass, makes it possible to increase its geometric accuracy.
