Investigation of internal radial extrusion of a pipe blank.
Part 9. Experimental verification of theoretical formulas for extrusion with hardening of aluminum alloy AB

A continuation of the experimental verification of theoretical results, begun in previous articles, is outlined. Various studies of extrusion of a hardening material (aluminum alloy AB) have been carried out. The method of accounting for hardening in technological calculations is shown in detail. The high accuracy of the obtained calculation formulas is confirmed.
Keywords: volumetric stamping; radial extrusion; strain; deformations; pipe.

Heat exchange between a cylindrical heating element and its shell

In this article, the question of finding the temperature field of a heating element made in the form of a cylinder enclosed in a shell also of a cylindrical shape is considered. Heat exchange occurs under boundary conditions of the third and fourth kind. In this paper, based on the methods of differentiation and integration, the solution of the problem of the distribution of the temperature field in both modes was obtained. At the same time, the task itself is stationary. The resulting solution has an analytical form containing quadratic and logarithmic functions. The reliability of the obtained result is confirmed by the fact that one of the frequent cases leads the problem to a problem with boundary conditions of the first kind, when the surface temperature is constant.
Keywords: heat exchange; temperature field; heating element; stationary thermal conductivity; cylinder; boundary conditions of the third kind; boundary conditions of the fourth kind.

The impact of magnetic-pulse pressure on the spinning of sheet metal

In this paper, we performed a numerical simulation of the magnetic-pulse pressure acting on an aluminum sheet during the formation of an electromagnetic drawing using the ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element analysis software. The results show that the geometry of the die significantly affects the formability of the aluminum alloy under high-speed impact electromagnetic deformation in terms of strain rate, pressure and stress state. This expands the understanding of the interaction between the workpiece and the die to study the effect of the matrices on the deformation limit of the sheet at high speed deformation.
Keywords: magnetic-pulse pressure; eddy current; Euler's method; Z-displacement; plastic deformation.

Optimization of clamping tool design based on use of detachable fixtures and numerical modeling method (Part 2)

Enterprises of mechanical engineering and other industries that widely use metalworking to form the surfaces of parts, for the most part, use special devices to fix parts on machines. Сomparative strength tests using numerical methods of designing three designs of machine tools to select the optimal option are performed. Three versions of the machine tool are accepted as objects for the milling operation of the «Fixed Sponge» part: a universal, detachable fixture and a detachable fixture without a stop. It is noted that the most acceptable for use in modern machine-building production are catalogs with automated support for the design of detachable fixtures. Each of the devices is examined for their strength and stability in them. The study is carried out using computer-aided design systems T-FlexCAD and ANSYS® Mechanical.
Keywords: special machine tool; benefits of the detachable fixtures; automation of detachable fixtures design; numerical modeling methods; testing the strength of the accessory; study of displacement values; optimisation of device design.

Investigation of the state under tension of the aircraft wing using the speckle interferometry method

To date, the issues related to the selection and development of the most optimal forms of the aircraft wing are being update. An important factor is the study of the state under various stress-strain states of the aircraft wing. The author of the article performs works related to the study of the state under tension of the aircraft wing based on the use of the innovative speckle interferometry method. The scientific value of the article consists in presenting the possibility of using this method to analyze the state of tension of an airplane wing. The practical value of the work lies in the possibility of using the presented materials as a basis for choosing an experimental method for studying the stress-strain states of an aircraft wing.
Keywords: aircraft wing; tension; speckle interferometry; stress-strain state; construction.

Universal model for representing the problem of installing the onboard electrical systems of an aircraft

The issues of developing a universal model of a descriptive language for the process of forming an onboard system based on allowed operations on the mounting space are considered. The universal model makes it possible to adequately describe the images of onboard electrical systems for the application of structural methods of pattern recognition.
Keywords: installation; process; descriptive language; complex; onboard system; power supply system; aircraft.

Modeling methods and models for assessing the state of quality and behavior of the hydraulic fluid of the aircraft

The article is devoted to the formulation and solution of scientific and applied problems of the development of modeling methods and models of image recognition of the states of the hydraulic fluid of the aircraft. In the process of research, special attention is paid to the theoretical aspects of the concept of pattern recognition. The mathematical formulations of pattern recognition are also presented. To describe the image of the working fluid of aircraft hydraulic systems, it is proposed to use a two-weighted neural network.
Keywords: image; recognition; hydraulic system; aircraft; working fluid.
