Technological aspects of creating composite aircraft high-temperature shells by controlling the properties of the structure of the original material

This paper examines the design aspects of radio-transparent shells (RPO) with an emphasis on ensuring strength characteristics using a mathematical apparatus. Analytical dependencies have been developed that allow determining the preliminary design and minimum wall thickness at the initial design stage. The finite element method is proposed to solve the problem of shape, stability and strength of the structure. A new approach to the design of RPO allows for rational selection of geometric parameters and the algorithm of the technological process through preliminary modeling. The results obtained have practical application in the creation of optimal composite shell-type structures.
Keywords: radio-transparent shells; high-temperature composite material; pre-preg; composite laminate; fairing; mathematical apparatus.

Thermal stressed state during metal cutting

The article is devoted to the mechanics of metal cutting. It examines thermal stressed state in the chip formation zone during metal cutting. Cutting, like all types of pressure treatment, involves plastic deformation of the material being processed. Using the stepwise compression method, it is shown that the specific work of compression depends only on the magnitude of the relative shift.
Keywords: blade processing; cutting tools; compression deformation; stepwise compression method; chips; degree of deformation.

The problem of cooling a limited cylinder

The work is devoted to the issues of thermal conductivity. It addresses the issue of cylinder cooling. At the same time, the process itself is non-stationary. When finding a solution, the Fourier variable separation method is used for the thermal conductivity equation, which reduces the solution of the problem to a zero-order Bessel differential equation. The solution itself is obtained in the form of a double row.
Keywords: temperature field; cylinder; thermal conductivity; unsteadiness; eigenvalues; eigenfunctions; Bessel function; Neumann function.

Analysis of complex-profile surfaces of parts during hardening by diamond burnishing on CNC machines

The article discusses approaches to analyzing the surfaces of a part with a complex profile at the stage of developing diamond burnishing hardening technology. It presents descriptions of methods for analyzing surfaces in a CAM system, implemented in order to reduce the likelihood of errors depending on the variety of complex-profile geometry forms of machined parts and the professional experience of the developer.
Keywords: plastic deformation; diamond burnishing; analysis of complex-profile geometry in a CAM system.

Modernization of axle box unit of freight cars at a mining enterprise

This article describes the increase in the service life of the axle box unit by its modernization, as well as the optimization of the costs of maintenance and repair of rolling stock. The objectives of the study are: identifying wear-causing factors, analyzing the design, developing solutions for improving the unit, calculating operating loads, predicting the service life of bearings before and after the implementation of modernization, as well as assessing the feasibility of the proposed modifications. Friction of the rollers on the sides of the rings increases the bearing temperature; under such conditions, the roller begins to function as a cutting tool in relation to the bearing rings, which significantly increases the likelihood of multiple defects. This is detected during diagnostics and requires removing the car from service for repairs. To improve the efficiency of bearings, a design solution has been introduced that provides for the division of radial and axial loads between different elements of the axle box unit. Calculations confirmed that both the support and the cover would remain intact and withstand the impact of the frame force.
Keywords: axle box assembly; service life increase; bearing, axle load; combined axle support system; modernization; economic effect.

Analysis of production planning systems

Modern enterprises strive to improve the efficiency of production processes and adaptability to market changes through the implementation of advanced information systems. Among the key tools for achieving these goals are manufacturing execution systems (MES) and advanced planning and scheduling systems (APS). For the optimal selection and integration of these systems, it is important to understand their functional features, areas of application and distinctive features. The importance of integrating APS and MES in the context of a modern production process is considered, and an analysis of their functionality and practical examples of implementation at industrial enterprises is carried out.
Keywords: production planning systems; APS; MES; optimization of production processes; automation; equipment; loading schedule; scheduling theory.
