Investigation of backward-and-forward extrusion of tumblers with a co-bottom part.

Part 24. Experimental verification of theoretical formulas during traditional extrusion without hardening

The necessity of experimental verification of the accuracy of the theoretical calculation of the force of traditional extrusion of glasses with a conical bottom is substantiated. The extrusion of a non-hardening material simulating hot deformation is considered. Methods for performing specific calculations of deforming force for various geometric extrusion parameters, both for free and constrained extrusion, are demonstrated in detail. A comparison with the obtained experimental data shows the high accuracy of the derived calculation formulas.
Keywords: die forging; tumblers with the co-bottom part; backward-and-forward extrusion; stress; deformation.

The effect of the geometry of the cutting wedge of the tool on the deformation of the articular chips

The work is devoted to the issues of elastic plastic contact of the tool with the coating. It considers the problem of the influence of the geometry of the cutting wedge of the tool on the deformation of the articular chips. A scheme of jointed chips in its longitudinal section is proposed. The formulas obtained characterize with a sufficient degree of accuracy all the geometric parameters of an individual element and are valid for all cases of its occurrence when cutting at high speeds beyond the limits of build-up.
Keywords: chip formation zone; cutting tool; contact processes; shrinkage coefficient; deformation rate; build-up.

Distribution of the temperature field in a rectangle under boundary conditions of the second kind

The work is devoted to the theory of thermal conductivity. This article examines the issue of finding a temperature field in a rectangle under boundary conditions of the second kind, which determine the values of the heat flux density on the surface of an object at any point and at any time. The solution is obtained using the Fourier method in the form of a series containing hyperbolic functions.
Keywords: heat transfer; equation of thermal conductivity; stationarity; rectangle; boundary conditions of the second kind.

Experimental substantiation of technology for the production of profile engineering products using bending equipment

Due to the complexity of bending the profile and its subsequent milling, an experimental study is carried out and, based on its results, a measurement map is compiled. Bending at different pressures and technological sequences of operations is studied.
Keywords: shaping; profile bending; milling; measurement card; sample.

Improving the efficiency of in-depth drilling of structural materials through the use of elongated spiral carbide drills

The efficiency of drilling deep holes depends on the correctly selected tool material, its length, geometric parameters of the cutting part of the drill, processing conditions and properties of the material being processed. Processing of hard-to-process materials requires compliance with special conditions in order to achieve the required quality of the surface layer of the workpiece. One of these conditions is the use of carbide drills of elongated design.
Keywords: high-speed drills; deep holes; spiral drills; hard alloy; friction; processed material; cooling systems.

On the possibility of reducing the sintering temperature and maintaining the level of service characteristic while obtaining protopectin alumina materials

A study was conducted of aluminum oxide powders from the manufacturer Almatis, which differ in fractional composition. Differences in the granulometric composition, morphology and structure of the selected samples were noted. During the experiments, the optimal amount of binder for each type of powder was determined to achieve the required slip viscosity. The process of manufacturing ceramic products of complex shapes without defects was established using hot slip casting technology, for which the parameters were precisely selected. The conditions for burning the organic binder were also established and the optimal firing temperature was determined. Finally, the characteristics of the finished ceramics were carefully analyzed.
Keywords: aluminium oxide; glycerol; fractional composition; alumina ceramic; installation of hot glycerol casting; properties.
