Stress-strain state during metal cutting
The article is devoted to the mechanics of metal cutting. It examines the deformed state in the chip formation zone during metal cutting. Cutting, like all types of pressure treatment, involves plastic deformation of the material being processed. Using the stepwise compression method, it is shown that the specific work of compression depends only on the magnitude of the relative shift.
Keywords: blade processing; cutting tools; compression deformation; stepwise compression method; chips; degree of deformation.

The temperature field of a spheroid under boundary conditions of the first kind
The work is devoted to the issues of stationary thermal conductivity. In it, the problem of finding the distribution of the stationary temperature field of a spheroid was solved. In this case, the boundary conditions are boundary conditions of the first kind. To find an analytical solution, the method of decomposition into a series containing Legendre polynomials is applied. Also, based on the obtained expression, a special case of a stationary temperature distribution in the hemisphere is considered.

Determination of wear coefficient for the purpose of predicting surface wear of tools for microdeformation of sheet metal workpieces
The paper deals with the problem of wear assessment of a stamping tool for microdrawing of a sheet blank made of copper alloy M1. By means of finite element simulation the values of contact pressure at the die inlet are obtained. Further research activities using a tribometer are performed and the volumes of removed material during surface wear under dry friction conditions were determined. Based on the obtained data, the wear coefficient is calculated according to Archard wear equation.

Method for measuring the force of crank hot stamping press mod. K-8544, force 25 MN by torque of the receiving shaft and device for its measurement (Part 2)
In this paper we propose an original method of measuring the force of crank hot stamping press mod. K-8544, force 25 MN by torque of the receiving shaft. The functional scheme of the device for measuring the force of hot stamping press by torque with an optoelectronic frequency sensor of the receiving shaft of the press with a measuring tape «zebra» on the receiving shaft of the press is proposed. The work of the device for measuring the crank press force by the torque of the receiving shaft is analyzed, the design of the optoelectronic frequency sensor is given. This approach is applicable for force measurement of all crank hot stamping presses.
Keywords: crank hot stamping press; main shaft; receiving shaft; base section; angular deformation; phase shift of sections; torque; receiving shaft frequency sensors; zebra measuring tapes on the receiving shaft of the press; measuring microprocessor system.

Preparation of a machine vision system for analyzing the geometry of parts
A review of a number of publications was conducted, as a result of which the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches to scanning and creating images of measured parts for their further analysis for defects and geometric parameters were identified. The importance of developing and applying machine vision algorithms in the modern world for solving the problems of identifying product defects in production in order to improve processes in industry, namely within the framework of visual technical quality control of products, was emphasized. A method for implementing and constructing image processing algorithms using machine vision is described.
